What You?ll Do

Reporting to the R&I Manager, you will be the leader of risk & reliability for critical machines at the plant. You will be part of a dynamic team who drives the high standards in how we carry out overhauls and preventative maintenance. Other duties will include:

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety. (Ensure SAO, JSA, Take 5?s, stretching, and all safety rules are being completed.)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
  • Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values.
  • Supports BEx initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility
  • Daily Support to Operations
  • Small MOC?s, FI or Capex projects
  • Participates in PHA?s
  • Receives close direction from Mgr. and Senior Engineer (mentor)
  • Ensure that all rotating plant equipment assets at the Plant have effective Reliability and Capability Life Plans and world class maintenance strategies
  • Work closely with Maintenance Planners to ensure that preventive & predictive maintenance work orders in SAP PM are aligned with equipment maintenance strategies.?
  • Influence operation of critical machines within defined integrity operating windows.
  • Drive the implementation of the RCM business process (criticality analysis, maintenance strategies).
  • Apply a structured approach to reliability management
  • Ensure major rotating equipment risks are identified, assessed, documented & mitigated in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Influence a significant reduction in the frequency and business impact of rotating equipment failures.
  • Lead RCAs for consequence 3 and above for rotating equipment hazard, near miss and incidents?
  • Complete equipment failure investigations using root cause analysis techniques.
  • Conduct engineering statistical reliability studies from the risk assessments, criticality data, corrective maintenance history, and failure history.
  • Assure compliance to relevant external statutory regulation and internal plant and engineering standards and communicating such requirements to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure application of Company Management of Change policies and standards.
  • Implementation and auditing of standards and guidelines in collaboration with Principal Engineers and Operations Personnel.
  • Undertake and organize technical investigations, inspections, studies and surveys, and analyzing all historical data, to determine rotating plant equipment risk and criticality.?
  • Continuous update and review rotating plant equipment items in the operational risk registers.? Implement effective controls and improvement actions (elimination/reduction).
  • Collaboration with Operations, Turnaround, and Project functions in effective identification & scoping of requirements. Execution of technical R&I role during turnarounds.
  • Support tactical response to address equipment deficiencies in an effective & timely manner during turnarounds.

What We?re Looking For:

  • Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance and/or engineering of a petrol-chemical manufacturing plant, power generation or similar heavy industry environment.
  • Knowledge of rotating plant equipment and good knowledge of materials, failure mechanisms, fabrication and repair processes and procedures
  • Technically competent with respect to management of Rotating equipment in particular: rotor dynamics, performance monitoring, principles of compressible flow, principles of lubrication management, condition monitoring, reliability benchmarks, best engineering practices, and machinery overhaul practices.
  • Familiarity with Safety Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Excellence models, systems and processes relating to asset capability and reliability.
  • Familiarity with Turnaround management systems.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experienced in risk identification, analysis, and mitigation strategies.
  • Proven project delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability in optimizing reliability e.g. reducing failure rates, increasing uptime, etc.
  • Strong understanding of RBM (Risk-based Maintenance) and RCM (reliability-centered maintenance) maintenance strategy development.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis of failure data (e.g. uptime, Weibull analysis, etc.).
  • Competent in the various methods of Root Cause Failure Analysis.
  • Competent in incident investigations
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player

Don't Be Fooled

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
