The Plant Manager leads and directs all plant operations with overall responsibility for safety, quality, production, continuous improvement, maintenance, engineering and other production related activities of the GMAA and MMA plants.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate with Safety, Environmental and Health as the first priority. Demonstrate personal dedication for active safety awareness and immaculate plant housekeeping. Eliminate injuries and consistently improve safety performance through innovative safety techniques and programs. Manage all operations in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Reduce hazardous and non-hazardous wastes and avoid creating environmental liabilities. Proactively manage the high risks associated with flammability, toxicity and corrosive nature of the raw materials and products.
Provide leadership to Fortier team to drive continuous improvement in all aspects of plant operations; ie safety, quality, OEE, personal development.
Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the United Steel Workers Leadership. Be the Collective Bargaining Agreement expert on site and lead the strategic initiatives during contract negotiations.
Operate to produce budgeted volumes while improving efficiency and yields to reduce costs. Manage spending to less than budgeted levels.
Manage capital projects and plant expansions to achieve on time, under budget implementation, insuring state-of-the-art equipment and a well maintained, consistently improving facility.
Operate at all times with the highest level of personal performance and business integrity, representing Evonik in the local community and in the state to enhance Evonik's community standing and promote good public relations in support of business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
Fifteen to twenty years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least ten years of management experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry, Masters preferred.
Strong human relations skills, good communication skills, motivational and leadership skills. Ability to present and influence up to the executive level.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
Able to lead in a complex environment managing site owner and union.
Strong MS Office skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
